For Little Monkeys Charity is a registered Canadian charity dedicated to designing and donating sensory rooms, as well as curating and providing sensory kits for families with neurodiverse children. The charity aims to assist these vulnerable children develop the essential skills through sensory play, fostering the enhancement of gross motor, fine motor, communication, social, and sensory regulation skills. Over the years, they have received numerous impact statements from families who have benefitted from their projects, which are posted on their Instagram page @forlittlemonkeyscharity and their website (www.forlittlemonkeyscharity.ca).
Given the lack of sufficient support for families with neurodiverse children, they are committed to doing their part to help these children achieve their full potential.
Natalie Abkarian Cimini is the President and founder of For Little Monkeys Charity. As a mother of two autistic boys, with the support of her board members and advisory committee, she is deeply committed to making a meaningful difference. Through her personal journey, Natalie has gained extensive knowledge and witnessed the significant benefits of sensory play and its therapeutic effects on the growth and development of neurodiverse children. She is driven to continually seek funding to help bring the charity projects and mission to fruition.
For Little Monkeys Charity serves families in York Region and Durham Region and hopes to expand their geographic boundaries in the future to serve more families in the future
